This is our book club choice for this month.I laughed.
I cried.
I loved it.
I even read the last 50 pages or so out loud to Dan and he loved it.
It's short, but powerful. A fable for our time.
Travel with Santiago to Egypt and see what happens....

I don't think I was in the right mood when I read this. My nephew recommended and raved about it. Hubby read it after I did and he loved it. I think I should give it another try.
This is one of my favorite books, I have read and re-read it over the years.
Booklogged: I have heard some people kind of give this book a "meh". I do think time and mood and situation have a lot to do with it. I could see if I just wasn't in that mind frame I might have found it a little cheesy.

I loved this book, and your review is so true. It is a fable, a tale of the ancient lands....just a joy to read. I could see reading this over and over for sure.
