I loved Dodie Smith's book, too. I really need to read it again. I love seeing everyone's lists--it reminds me of all the books I want to read....
I'm impressed with your list, Tricia. I'll have to give some of these a try (especially the ones I've never even heard of!)
I love some of your picks - Animal Farm, The Goose Girl, Zel! I'm hoping to read I Capture the Castle this year, and there are some others in there I want to read as well.
