The One

The One (The Selection, #3)The One by Kiera Cass
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

My enthusiasm kind of petered out getting through this one. Completely predictable and made me feel like the series could have been done in two books. Still, an all-around cute series.

The Elite

Not as good as the first, but really decent for a second book. I liked the new elements.

This is kind of a dystopian version of The Bachelor. I thought it was darling.

3 stars for the book, an extra for the audiobook narrator. She made it quite enjoyable.

So very clever. I enjoyed this murder mystery immensely.

(A little tip: Don't look at the last page for any reason.)

Uplifting true account about how hard work and perseverance pay off. I enjoyed learning about rowing, and I also liked the subtle spiritual analogies.

Shatter Me

Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

I really like the premise and the characters, but there's a lot of filler here. I'm on the fence about whether or not to carry on with this series.

LeVar Burton does an incredible job narrating this wonderful book. I listened with my 12-year old son on a road trip and we both loved it.

The Color of Light

I was entertained and I love her book settings, but this one was predictable and I didn't really like the main characters.
